Official Custom Lenovo S650 Vibe ui v1.5 + Root + Gapps

Official Custom Lenovo S650 Vibe ui v1.5 + Root + Gapps - Vibe ui v1.5 now is available for Lenovo S650, Users can install it manually if the can get this update by OTA. What so special about this firmware that make me must to update my device ? This is the first firmware that bring the latest source Android 4.4.2 for chinese phone. But this Vibe ui v1.5 don't support multi language and no google installations on it, This problem can be fix by rooting the device and install manually. But today i just gone post on How to Upgrade Official Custom Vibe ui v1.5 for Lenovo S650. For remember that this guide can make data loss and even brick your device, i assume you all already understand about that and will consider more to follow this guide.

Before Getting Started :

• This Vibe ui v1.5 can only be installed if your current firmware is "CN", Lenovo always has 2 type for it device, the first is a CN which is firmware is only have china language and english only, has a lot china applications installed and the second is a ROW which is firmware for use in global has multi language and don't has china applications.
• Always do backup, because this guide will erase all your data
• Backup IMEI using Mobile Uncle MTK Tool

Upgrade Official Custom Lenovo S650 with Vibe ui v1.5 Android 4.4.2

1. Download all required files and extract it to one folder on your computer, Install Lenovo USB Driver on your computer and don't forget to reboot your computer after finished.
2. Now please to enable USB Debugging on your device, go to System Settings ↦ Developer Options ↦ USB Debugging tick it to enable. When this options disable that your computer will never recognize your device.
   


3. Turn off your device and take out the battery, Go to extracted SP_Flash_Tool folder and run Flash_Tool and check on DA DL All With Check Sum this options is very importing so please don't forget to tick it. Click on Scatter-Loading and navigate to S650_S119_131014/MT6582_Android_scatter.txt once you found and add, it will automated add the rest files.
   


4. After finish with the Flash_Tool just hit Download Button or press F9, The flash tool will be start to initialize and be ready to begin flashing process. With still on off condition connect your device to your computer, if the driver from step 1 perfectly install than the Flash_Tool will immediately recognize your device and start to begin flashing process. Flashing process will mark with RED BAR, and after a minute or two YELLOW BAR and if it finish will be mark with GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of flash tool.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   


5. Done, Your device will reboot automatically and you now use the CN firmware S650_S119_131014, Confirm it with go to System Settings ↦ About. Now we need to ROOT the CN firmware, download VROOT_ONE_CLICK and install to your computer. Connect your device to your computer and begin to ROOT, once the device recognize by VROOT_ONE_CLICK just click Root Button on the lower left and wait the process until finish.
6. After finish rooting your device, now please install Mobile Uncle MTK Tool to your device. Move TWRP v2.6.3.0 CN, S650_VIBEUI_V1.5_1423_7_ST, Gapps Minimal 4.4.2, and SuperSu v1.97 to your sd card. Now open Mobile Uncle MTK Tool look at the top right there will be ROOT text, this means your device already ROOTED , select Recovery Update navigate to TWRP v2.6.3.0 CN this folder will contains file recovery.img confirm all warning and begin flashing custom recovery to your device, Reboot and go to recovery mode.
7. On TWRP custom recovery main menu, select Wipe ↦ Slide to Factory Reset, back to TWRP main menu again select Wipe ↦ Cache.
8. Now from TWRP main menu select Install ↦ Choose zip from sd card ↦ Navigate to S650_VIBEUI_V1.5_1423_7_ST ↦ slide to install, wait for the process to finish.
9. When installing successful finish repeat step 7, this needed to avoid any boot failure when your phone do first booting.
10. Now you already finish install / Upgrade your device to Vibe UI v1.5, try to boot for the first time and please confirm with go to System Settings ↦ About.

Congratulations !! now your Lenovo S650 already installed with Android 4.4.2 using Vibe UI v1.5 with root and google play installed, Remember once you root your Vibe UI update OTA will be unavailable.
