Best and Easiest way to Mod 2go for Your self - RahmonTech

How has been your days? To be truthful today's fast bangs. Well, may God accept our prayers, and to my Christian Brothers we stil wish God accepts all.

So this afternoon, we are gonna learn how to Mod 2go application. 2go is a chatting app, very easy and fast and I believe most of us here had an account! I know, everyone likes chatting on 2go.
So now, Technically, we are gonna discuss on how one can mod the 2go, you might have came accross some 2go apps customized with someones names every link in 2go apps is just different from the normal one you downloaded from there official wap. This is so wonderful! You click on Menu, you'd see My Go credits, Abdul' Pinq, etc, most of our webmasters likes modding, but that was before.. We mod Opera mini, 2go, Ucweb, Sms Apps, and once you knw how to mod, you feel like modding any apps that falls in your phone. Thats was quite pretty.
Some of our Famous modders are;

- ejeH and manny more.. Just 4got their names.

They were the boses then, they tutor us as well as i'm able to write on it today

So you wana mod your own 2go too?
You wanna blemish the app right?
You can even set your pic as background as in (2go style), just keep on reading...

Now to Mod 2go is easy, but its time consuming. You almost spend upto an hour depends on how you have mastered it. So? Lets begin na

To modd any java (jar) apps required different types of file - based on how you can handle those files. They are also jar apps too.

So in this case, we will need
1. BlueftP, or symbian users can use Xplorer (google it)
2. Class Editor and
3. Class Translator

These incredible apps are wonder full. With these apps you will love modding tho.

After downloading these apps, we will have to do some little settings, so you dont get stressed when the apps misbehaves.
The most annoying thing is the 'Allow apps to Edit...' permission. Thank God, i have hacked mine tey tey, only symbian users sha.. I wil update the tutor soon.. Contnui reading

So to get over this annoying requests is so simple. After downloading all this apps.
Goto where is be saved croll on it, press options, and click Settings. I think..

Now, if i was right, you should see permission settings then, scroll to User Data, click on it and Set as 'Ask once'
check other neccessary settings and set all as 'As once' or 'Always allow' somfin like that sha..

Although the step above is not that necessary if you can tolerate the anoyying requests..

Now lets get into the Jet..

Your 2go.zip (a raw 2go file or anyone thats has been modded alreay) just a .zip one .. You can download one here

Good. Now, with your bluftp. Just laucnch it
Firest Create new Folder. Fresh and Empty Folder.

Then, navigate to the 2go.zip you have downloaded. Click on it.

Since it was a zip file, the contents of the apps shall be listed, jar file is compiles with the cominations of .class files.. They are meaningless now since you dont know the meaning of .class file #Grin

as - in the .class files, after which you have clicked the z.ip 2go



With Xplorer, it looks just like this..



Ouyah! Without wasting time, press Menu, and scroll to select all.




Using explorer just press Options, and select all.

Now, you extract these items you just selected, Press Menu again, still on Bluftp and press 'Extract selected Items' or simply, just press one.



Symbians should just mark all and press X
or




At this point, you are taking out of the zip file you opened, just navigate to the new folder I asked you to creat then, press Menu and click 'Extract Items Here' or Hit key Three (3 )
If it asks 'Allow application to Edit user data' press yes, since we have configured it before, we expect it to ask just once, but if it keeps asking, then take heart and concenstrate, till they are extracted..

When extracting



symbian should look lik this with explorer too.




Successful. If you dont get this report, it means you have not extract anything realy. No file should miss. So start again!



with symbian, these steps are simple

After all this steps, you go take a break, Buy Gala with Bottled Coke, Feel relief and come back here..

Now, we are into modding - editing the class files..

Open Class translator you have already downloaded one na?

It wil ask you to allow access, just keep granting it.. Navigate to the new folder, where you have extracted those 2go files.

Start editing by clicking on the .class file(s).
Please and Please you must be carefull - carefully attempt the .class files inside,
I dont have to explain this steps..

All you have to do is to keep on checking the class files, its too many tho.

Warning! Attempt and edit them, leave some text you dont understand, you are only expected to edit the text you normally see on 2go, freindly. Skip the ones you dont understand to avoid application error!

In this case, here are some suggested clasess.
ak.class
am.class
ap.class
as.class
at.class
bx.class
ca.class
ch.class
cx.class

Edit and save,
Come! you must save oo!

What next?

Changing the Title and the Icon?

Most of us here enjoyed apps which is titled with our names and attract with our pic as an icon, well we will learn to too.

Open Class Editor
Navigate to the new folder
Open and Open - META-INF folder, there you find 'menifest.mf' files inside..



Here, you have to be carefull! I wonder if you know the important of the word "Becarefull" Just be careful and concenstrate.

You see: Manifest Version with the Text written after it before the 00 box? I think 1.0 is written After Manifest Version.

Studey that, thats how you should know where to edit on this Manfist Page, you are to change the written aftr ":" column.
Lest me make it clear

Manifest - Version: 1.0
Midlet - Name: 2go
Midlet version: 5.0.3



isn't it?? Good!
Now you wana change the version, name, icon, url etc? Uhm?

In here, you are on your own sha.. You decide what to change your self.
I wil only show you how to change
so lets asume you wana change the midlet name.
Watch these stepps.
Firstly, mark from the begining of the existing midlet name thats is '2go'
like this




Take the cursor near the '2go' and Press '*'
suddenly, a red line is behind the 2 starting 2go.



Press the left key to highlight







You see? Just highlight it that way, then press Ok button twice. You wil see list of options there select 'text'



and fill it with your own name (whatever) and click ok.. I filled mine with aboki 2go.. So here is how it looks



Apply these steps to other changeable branches and save it when your done, press left key and save, it wil save!



Thats it for changing the titles, infos of an App.

Symbian should open the MATA-INF folder as explained, meet the MANIFEST.MF file in side and simply press 'I' from your key. Change things according to how i explain above.
Carefully!

To change icon too! I no 4get na :/

launch Bluft - just enter the folder which you are working on.. Locate the 'icon.png' file inside, with your bluft press Menu, scroll to rename.. You will see the icon.png editable, just copy it.
Now, go to your own picture, click on rename also, wipe the current name and paste this 'icon.png' you copied, done that? Press 1 immediately and move your way to the new folder! (the one your are working on) We are going to murder the icon.png and replace it.
Open the folder press 3 it wil ask for overite or edit, press overwrite.



you are done.

Symbian users should just delete, rename the new pic as 'icon.png' and place it in the folder...

You can now have a sight of relief!

Repacking it!
Press Menu, Mark all, with your bluftp.
Then press Menu, and click 'Compress Items Zip ).. Put the new file name.

Note: if you are using java to modd, u just rename it and clean the .zip at the end. Just put the name only.



Press Ok, and wait till its successful!




Symian users just press Menu, Mark All.
Press Menu again and click Copy or Move to Zip..
Click Ok, and put the name.jar thats all..

Note: Java users should now copy the file and memory card.. Quit bluftp , goto memory card via application. Rename the 2go, and add .jar at the end..
you should see the changes with your picture and the name you used.
Gbam! Symbians users just compress to zip, then rename and add .jar at the end. Install and comment bellow!!
