Any future updates to the AOD display?

Does anyone know if the AOD for the S7 Edge will ever get an update to be similar to the one on the Note 7? With this recall fiasco I was thinking of switching to the S7 Edge but a feature like that is important to me. Especially the fact that it supports 3rd party app notifications.
