Trouble flashing Revolution HD?

I used TWRP, did a wipe, installed zip, and then it just booted to the boot menu. I then tried flashing Wolla again because it had worked before and nothing. I used recovery and now I'm back on Android 6.21.605.3 sense 7. Was I supposed to flash an earlier stock rom like 4.4.4 or something? It was the latest build for the M8, so it should have worked, right?

Others have installed including Wolla, ICE M8, Viper One, and LeeDroid, but the sense toolbox and theme engines caught my eye because I want my status bar icons changed as well as the navbar.
