Honor 7 Marshmellow - Audio Breaking Up (Speaker / Headphones)

In the last couple of days my Honor 7 is having issues with playing audio either via in-built speakers or headphones - the audio breaks up / fizzies, and video freeze for a millisecond / breakup. Issues seen using Google Play Music and YouTube.
