No Media Codecs?

Trying to play my videos with my new Honor 8 using BS Player and some of them don't have sound (missing AC3 codec?) video plays very slow too (seems to be like 5 fps).

I Assume the stock ROM doesn't include the necessary codecs?

NOTE: These same videos played just fine out-of-the-box in my old Note 3.

Any suggestions? Is there anything I did wrong?
