ASUS Officially announced update Android 5.0 Lollipop For ASUS Zenfone 5 A500CG T00F/T00J v3.23.40.52 . You can check via Settings>About>System Update. Or You can do Manually by download this ROM Below. Please note: only update same SKU Version (TW->TW, WW->WW, CHT->CHT) or the upadate will be fail. 

How to Upgrade to Lollipop :

1. Please make sure update software version after V2.22.40.53 first before update to software version V3.23.40.52
2. Download V2.22.40.53 from Here (Full firmware/Large) or Here (FOTA file/small)
3. For V2.22.40.53 which you download from above, put the file to the device root directory directly. 
4. For V3.23.40.52 which you download from below, please unzip the file first then put the file to the device root directory
