Lag on Snapchat

Does anyone else have problems with the snapchat app? When I first open it, the screen freezes for a few seconds, and when I record a video it lags so much that it looks like I'm recording in slow motion. This happens with all apps closed and cache cleaned. Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be done? Thanks.
