How to install TWRP v2.8 on Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A500 All Varient

1. Download and fill all the requirement for following this guide, the most important is your device is already rooted because flashify cannot run without root access.
2. Move the download file to your external sd card.
3. Open the flashify, if asking for root access just press allow without modified any options
   
   


4. Select Recovery Image, this options can be use to flash or install recovery image like cwm or twrp image.
   


5. Next, choose the downloaded file that already move to your sd card, select Choose a File, then select your desire file explorer, if you don't see any try download ES File explorer from Google Play Store
   


6. Browse to your sd card and choose the TWRP image file you want to flash, then just confirm all by select or press YUP!. Installation process will begin and then when it finish it will ask to reboot just select Reboot Now.
   


7. That it, after reboot it should boot to recovery mode. If not just use the Power + Volume Up + Home button combination to boot to recovery mode.

How to Installing TWRP v2.8 on Lenovo S90 Sisley - After unlocking bootloader on Lenovo S90 Sisley, now i this guide we will try to install custom recovery TWRP v2.8.6 . I found this guide on russian forum a couple a day before, maybe it will nice if i share it here.
Installing custom recovery can have many advantages, using custom recovery user can do manual full backup and restore, installing custom ROM, clear and do factory reset, many more. But installing custom recovery also can make your warranty void and has possibility to brick your device, so it very concern that you know the risk for modified system files.

2. Extract file with 7zip program to the root on your drive, example c:\K910\FLASH_TWRP_recovery_K910L_4.4\, please do not use any space on the folder.
3. Run bat :
   FLASH_recovery_with_unlocked_bootloader.bat ↦ this bat will only install custom recovery when bootloader is unlocked.
   FLASH_recovery_DD_with_root.bat ↦ run this bat file if your device have locked bootloader, this bat will install recovery and make root right.
   RUN_recovery.bat ↦ for one time run recovery with locked bootloader, this bat file will not install the recovery on your device.
4. Just wait your device to reboot and boot to new recovery.

How to backup/extract your android phone firmware

Android Backup

Recently, someone asked me how he could backup his android phone's Rom manually via cmd; it should be all over the internet I said to myself.
Today, I'm posting it here again for easy access.

There are too many reasons why you would want to backup your Android device. It could be for backup purpose, just incase something goes wrong, or to restore in another compatible device, for further modification/development, and on.

To go about this.
- Make sure ADB is properly installed
- Ensure to install your device drivers
- Ensure your device has root access
- You'll need a functional brain too ;)

Now, to the real deal!

Run CMD and point to the folder where you have your ADB files (Windows: Right-click on the folder while holding SHIFT button,  select Open command window here)

Connect your device via a usb cable

Type the following commands:

adb devices (click enter)
adb shell (click enter)
su (click enter)
cat /proc/mtd

The above command will list your device's partition.
Example:

dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 00040000 00020000 "misc"
mtd1: 00500000 00020000 "recovery"
mtd2: 00280000 00020000 "boot"
mtd3: 04380000 00020000 "system"
mtd4: 04380000 00020000 "cache"
mtd5: 04ac0000 00020000 "userdata"

Take note of the partitions you wish to backup. For instance, if it's system partition:
Type:

cat /dev/mtd/mtd3 > /sdcard/system.img

It will be backed up to your SDcard root as system.img.

The important partitions to backup include: boot, recovery, and system. This will give your device a clean Rom if restored; with your installed apps intact but without any data.

This is where the functional brain comes to play... ;)

Lenovo S939 installing custom recovery TWRP v2.8.1.0 with Android 5.0 UI - Found on some Lenovo forum, custom recovery TWRP v2.8.1.0 for Lenovo S939. Today guide will share how to install custom recovery TWRP v2.8.1.0 on your Lenovo S939, the guide also helping you prepare your computer for installing custom recovery and do modification on Lenovo S939.
The file on this guide also can be use using Mobile Uncle application, but for the guide i will use flash tool to install the recovery file to Lenovo S939.
Remember modified system file on Lenovo devices always have risk, so please make backup preparation first before following the guide. The guide and file on this guide is only for Lenovo S939, do not use it for any other devices.

• TWRP_v2.8.1.0_S939 ↦ custom recovery files, can be use with mobile uncle application also. 
• USB VCom driver ↦ this driver must be install on you computer first before can be use.
• SP Flash Tool v3.1328 ↦ tool that can be use to install custom recovery file to your device, recommended using this version.

Before can start to follow the guide, first you must install USB Vcom driver to your computer without this driver flash tool will not recognize your device when it attach to the computer, to install just follow below instruction :

• turn off your device and remove the battery, If you device using non removable make sure that your device is completely turn off
• open device manager on your computer
• connect your device using USB cable
• there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show on your device manager, PORT section for 5 second or less and then disappear
• disconnect and connect your device again, right click on MTK65xx Preloader Devices before it disappear, select Update Driver Software 
• point it USB VCOM extracted folder, and install the driver from there.
• disconnect and connect your device again, there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager PORT section.

Lenovo S939 installing custom recovery TWRP v2.8.1.0 with Android 5.0 UI

1. When you reach this step i assume that you already successful installing USB VCom driver on your computer. Download all required files above and extract on the same folder. 
2. Open flash tool extracted folder and run flash_tool.exe, if you are using windows 7 or later please run it using administrator privileges to avoid any permission error.
3. On the flash tool, check DA DL All with Checksum and the click Scatter-Loading button browse it to custom recovery extracted folder and then select MT6592_Android_scatter.txt, click open. 
4. It will automatically load recovery.img to flash tool
   


5. Now, you just need to press Download button on flash tool, it will trigger warning that said not all images correctly loaded. Just press Yes button and flash tool will become standby waiting connection with your device. (with all button disable, only stop button enable)
6. Turn off your device, remove the battery or if your device use non removable battery just make sure that it completely turn off (wait for 2-3 minutes after power off it). Connect your device to flash tool, if USB VCOM driver is completely install the flash tool will recognize your device and begin to flash the custom recovery, it will take 10-15 second to finish and will show GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of flash tool
   
7. Done

PS :

If you got error code 8038 after connect Lenovo SS939 to computer, then you must use mobile uncle to install this recovery. The error mean your partition table is not same with the recovery. (PMT Changed, must be downloaded)

Congratulations, Please confirm that custom recovery already installed on your Lenovo S939. Reboot your device while press and hold Power button + Volume Up + Volume Down button, this will make your device boot to recovery mode.

Lenovo S860 Update your custom recovery with TWRP 2.8.4.0 Android Lollipop design

Lenovo S860 Update your custom recovery with TWRP 2.8.4.0 Android Lollipop design - Today guide is about updating custom recovery with TWRP v2.8.4.0. The guide will show you how to prepare your computer and updating Lenovo S860 using flash tool, file on this guide also can be use using Mobile Uncle but i will not explain it here.
TWRP v2.8.4.0 with Android Lollipop design already support OTG, and can mount sd card perfectly. Backup from previous version cannot be used on this version, already try backup, restore seems work perfectly. Wipe data does for 2 second. This custom recovery is only work for ROW version so need to install ROW firmware if you device is china device with 1gb version.

5. Wait until boot normally and now you can disconnect your device.
6. Done, confirm that TWRP v2.8.6.1 already install on your device by boot to recovery mode.

Requirement :

• Download and installing USB VCOM driver, follow below step :
  
  
  • turn off your device and remove the battery, If you device using non removable make sure that your device is completely turn off wait like 20 seconds after power off the device
  • open device manager on your computer
  • connect your device using USB cable
  • there will be MTK65xx Preloader Devices show on your device manager, PORT section for 5 second or less and then disappear
  • disconnect and connect your device again, right click on MTK65xx Preloader Devices before it disappear, select Update Driver Software 
  • point it USB VCOM extracted folder, and install the driver from there.
  • disconnect and connect your device again, there will be Mediatek PreLoader USB VCOM Port on your device manager PORT section.

How to Install Custom Recovery on Lenovo A319 Carlive Touch v3.0

1. Above requirement must be completely installed, without it flash tool will not recognize your device and the progress will stay at 0%. Download flash tool and custom recovery file, extract it and place it on one folder.
2. Run flash_tool.exe, if you are using windows 7 or later than please run it using administrator privileges to avoid any permission error.
3. On the flash tool, make sure you check DA DL All with Checksum option, then click on Scatter-Loading button browse it to extracted custom recovery folder and then select MT6572_Android_scatter.txt this will automatically load recovery.img  to flash tool
   


4. When everything is set up just press Download button or short cut F9, this will trigger warning that say not all images loaded completely just confirm and press Yes button.
5. Now turn off your device, remove the battery. If you device using non-removable battery just make sure that device is completely turn off. 
6. Connect your device, if USB VCOM driver is completely installed flash tool will recognize your device and start installation process, the process will take 10-15 seconds and will be mark with GREEN CIRCLE in the middle of flash tool.
   
   


7. Done, now you can disconnect your device. To enter to recovery mode on Lenovo A319 you need press and hold Volume Up + Power Buton while your device is off.
